Baseline Jump Testing for Volleyball

by Mike Slean on 11/29/11

The following video is a very basic look at the three types of jumping testing that we do for volleyball.  The spike jump, block jump and the reactive jump.  The reactive jump is the only one that is somewhat unique.  The reactive jump is an excellent test to determine an athlete's readiness for plyometrics.  Testing is essential to determine the effectiveness of any training program.  For volleyball, increasing vertical jump is the number one priority.
